I REALLY like this one! Probably because it reminds me of Snoqualmie Falls, BEFORE they cleared everything away to add the lodge and observation deck. In fact, I liked this painting so much I tried to duplicate it in my Horseshoe Falls rendition. Unfortunately, that horseshoe attempt didn't work as well as I would have liked.
I don't like this one either. Painting has nothing to do with Amarillo, Texas. The title simply refers to the odd yellow tones through out.
I was looking forward to doing this painting. I mean REALLY looking forward to it! And...yeech! Look what happened! Waves don't look like that!
This was the second painting I ever did.
The two below are unfinished, and were experiments in how to do certain techniques. I'm not sure if I will be attempting to paint on the same canvas, or discard them and start over. The "Florida Sunrise" was my attempt to capture the essence of a photograph I took while enjoying my first sunrise over an ocean out at Cocoa Beach, Florida.
