An experimental attempt to make a horseshoe shaped waterfall. It failed. Curious though, do you notice the glaring error in this one? Bugs me to pieces and I haven't yet figured out how to correct it.
This one is my best one! It's the first time my bare tree didn't look like it was growing antlers. Everything just -worked-. Unfortunately, I haven't done as well since.
Ok, you tell me: What planet does this depict? Sure doesn't look like Earth to me. I half expect either a dragon or some alien being to come out into view at any moment.
This one amazed me...I actually DREW a footbridge! Not only that, but it looks identical to the picture we were copying! However, that small part of the painting took me an hour to complete, and the total painting only took 3 hours. In an effort to save time, I think I'll keep items I have to draw OUT of my paintings.
I don't like this one. Too centered. 'Nuff said.
THIS is what happens when you figure out the secret of black gesso, and it WORKS! Now, if only the original didn't look like the Aurora Borealis was starting to form into a tornado... Eerie concept, that...a swirling mass of iridescent color whipping around at 300 MPH...
Guess this is another case of "painting what I know". I've been fascinated by tornados ever since I moved here, and have seen two from my house so far. Not surprising that one would show up during an art class with a thunderstorm raging outside and a tornado watch in effect for the day.
