Yes, I'm a paint-splattered artist wannabe...
Currently I'm taking landscape art classes in the Bob Ross method. You know, the guy on PBS with the "big hair" who can whip out a painting in 28 minutes? Well, those shows weren't edited. He really DID do a complete landscape in 28 minutes! Someday I hope to actually get one done in under 4 hours! AND do good at it. Ha!
The painting Daffy Duck is working on up there is the best one I've done, in terms of portraying motion. Unfortunately, the paintings that followed it didn't come out as good. Oh, well, the life of an artist...bummer. (BTW, you can click on the above painting to go to the Bob Ross website.)
Anyway, here are a few of my 30+ paintings. They are shown here expressly for my surrogate mom, Louise, in Poulsbo, WA. who's been bugging me about them ever since I started those classes! Remember, you aren't looking at masterpieces here, just the dabblings of a rank beginner wanting to show off that I can paint better than my cat can. (but then, SHE hasn't had lessons yet!) So if you aren't interested in bad art, don't waste your time waiting for these pages to load.
I'm sorry that my photographs aren't any better (I REFUSE to apologize for my paintings!), but these pages will be changing as I either paint more, or get decent pictures of the others.
All are oil on canvas, 16x20 except for the lighthouse, which is 18x24. You can see an enlargement of the painting by clicking on the appropriate underlined link.
WARNING: Enlargements are close to 300K in size at 300dpi resolution, so they may take a long time to load on your machine.
I have split them up onto several pages to help decrease the time it takes to load a whole page. And that way, you won't have to look at these things more than once if you don't want to.
